Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses.
It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles.

Mindful journaling is meditative writing, the act of expressively examining what is in your head and in your heart. It is asking yourself why you feel a certain way (anger, happiness, frustration, love) and then letting it go out of your head and onto the paper. We will start off the class with some breathing, then we will go into meditation, and then we will journal. We will use all sorts of tools to create a journal full of words, art, and/or doodles- however you wish to express the theme for the class.
